Everyone does not need to workout!

The biggest workout myth I have ever come across is when people tell me that I don’t need to workout, mainly because I am slim, and not overweight and so on.. Frankly, I really get annoyed with such people, who themselves (almost) never workout and have no interest in living a healthy life, however they are ready to make judgments on other people’s life who are actually making a generous effort!
Anyways, my answer to all such people is – My dear friends, please get your facts right! Each and every one of us need to workout. It does not matter whether you are slim, or overweight. Both ways, you must adopt a healthy lifestyle which includes eating fresh, home cooked food and exercising regularly. After all nothing matters without good health. Am I right or am I right?

I have had my share of ‘overweight’ days (you know it..!!), however, I managed to get out of that phase, but trust me it was not easy. It required a lot of dedication and commitment. You have to be committed to your body for your whole life. It does not matter if you have too many problems in your life (we all do!), or you suffer from mood swings or you crave comfort food – to me, all these are mere excuses! Your body deserves more than that! If you treat it with love and care, your body rewards you with good health and a toned figure. And who does not want that?

So the big question is why do slim (or not overweight) people need to exercise?
It’s because exercising reduces your chances of falling ill, boosts your metabolism rate, enhances your stamina, makes you feel light, look good and feel confident about yourself. Do you seriously need more reasons? (cause trust me, I have more than you can count)!
Hope now you get it.. everyone should (read ‘must’) workout. Factors like gender and age do not matter. Depending on your interest, your likes and dislikes you may choose your favorite sport (like boxing, aerobics, yoga, tennis, football, cycling, running etc.), but it’s really important to stay active. Specially in winters when people tend to become lazy about everything, you must not neglect your body and it’s needs. And this applies to everyone reading this (even to those who are not reading this article..)!

I have said this before and I am saying it again - Our health always seems much more valuable after we lose it.
So do yourselves a favor - Get-up and Go. Workout. Leave your lazy self behind and do something for your body. Your body will find a hundred ways to thank you.
Stay Fit.
Stay Active.

Cheers!

This & That - 4

Long time since I did a ‘This & That’ post. In case, you are wondering where am I lost these days, here are the deets –
  1. If you are following my posts and Facebook/Instagram account, you would know that I recently moved to Washington D.C. with my husband.
  2. As soon as we got an internet connection setup at home, I hopped on the blog to update!
  3. The weather is beyond my imagination here! Last week was OK, but it snowed yesterday and today it’s freeeeezinggg!! Don’t know how am I going to survive this!! (Next project: To buy the warmest coats and jackets possible).
  4. The city is quite nice, lots of cars and people to be seen. Everyone is always on-the-go! (I feel this way since Phoenix was a calmer city)..
  5. I miss Phoenix winters terribly (I love’em).
  6. We are still in the process of settling down (you know the kinds.. unpacking, home set-up and interior decoration etc.)
  7. Our new apartment is great, the view from my bedroom window is spectacular (will share few pictures once we get settled)..
  8. Ahh.. and here I am posting a few pictures which were clicked in Phoenix, just a day before we left for D.C. (I am not wearing any outerwear, just imagine the lovely weather over there)..
  9. And practically I am living in these shoes these days! Best booties EVER. Best for work, evening, shopping - you name it!
  10. Also, while I was editing these pictures, I realized that I recently did another jumpsuit post. (Of course both are my favorites)!

Cheers!

In the Sin City

An unplanned visit to Las Vegas was a refresher. It so happened that my husband and I were out for a casual evening walk when I expressed that we should travel somewhere before moving to D.C. since for the next month (after moving) we would be completely occupied with home decoration and set-up etc. Considering our love for 'travel', we thought of utilizing the weekend and voila..!
He liked the idea and we decided to hit the road the very next morning. That's it. The next morning we were on the road before we knew.. Whoever said unplanned traveling is fun was very RIGHT!
And boy we had fun... Though I fell ill (kind-a feverish) for a day, but who cares about that.. I remember only the fun part!
Tomorrow morning we are flying to D.C. Our car and our stuff has already been shipped. If I say 'I am excited about the move' would be an understatement. Let's see what future holds in for us..

Watch out for the next post from the Capital itself..!!

Bye for now..

Tomboy

Never underestimate the power of 'moving (cities)'. And that's coming from someone with personal experience. I have been packing, packing and packing.. which seems to be never ending (so far).. Putting your home in 'boxes' is not an easy thing to do!
Well, that's what I have been doing these days and did I mention living in a suitcase sucks too? Well, it kinda does. So that's that and this is the outfit I wore on a trip to Phoenix Zoo. The thing is, before leaving town, we want to explore all the attractions here, you see.. (which obviously we didn't in the past 16 months)! But, it's never too late!
Soon we will be busy in unpacking stuff and decorating our new home in D.C.

Here are a few pictures from a beautiful sunny day in Phoenix.

P.S. Do I look like a Tomboy here (just curious)!

Cheers!
