Drama in real life

Here I am, after a long while, sharing a thought which does not agree to leave my mind these days.
To begin with, I am a true Indian at heart. I respect elders, love younger, want to help anyone I can, stay closely connected with my parents and in-laws all the time (distance is not a barrier). Thankfully, these values were intrigued in me during my childhood and I give all the due credit to my parents for it. I was scolded, praised, counselled and even slapped as and when needed. This transformed me in to an understanding child and certainly not a demanding or attention seeking rebellious teenager!

They shaped me so well that I turned to be a very friendly and down to earth person. And truly speaking, I really respect those who are down to earth too. I seriously can't stand people who judge others by their status in the society or by the luxuries of life.

Lately, I have come in contact with such few people who feel extremely proud just because they earn too well.. or they did not have to struggle for anything in life, or just because their parents have a say in the society!
Just because you earn well or you have a big car, a super big house or a well-off family background doesn't make you a good person! You can become good only if your words are pleasant, your deeds are good, and your thoughts are wise.
I do not understand the logic behind it. What is that attitude and pride all about? What have 'YOU' done to earn 'respect'? If the answer is 'nothing', then my dear friend, you need to wake up! Wake up from the deep sleep you are in and start doing something about it!

Parents play a very important role in everyone's life. They can also be held responsible (for some extent) for such rude behavior of their children. It would not be completely wrong if I say there are such parents who do not care much about what their child is shaping in to!

Anyhow, on a personal level, I try to ignore such people and not pay much attention, but how much can you avoid? I know, sometimes, Patience is the key!

Well, that comprises most of my state of mind right now. You are allowed to please enjoy the pictures and share your thoughts now!
Thank you :)

Cheers!

Subtle

Now, it's all about waking up early, getting ready, preparing breakfast, lunch and then rushing to the office!

Life is fun this way too! It's my second week today at work and I am at a happy place. I sure do miss doing my daily workouts, which are now reduced to thrice a week. However, I keep myself active and fueled all the time!

So, here are few updates from the past few days -
  • I am getting better at driving, as I drive almost daily now. I feel the happiest when I am behind the wheel.
  • The housewife phase is over now. I applied for a job an got through, hence, I am back to the working mode. Yayyy to that!!
  • Because I am so experimental and need not mention, a risk taker, got another haircut, which certainly adds a different shape to my hairstyle. You like it?
  • For a change, it was raining cats and dogs this weekend, here in Phoenix. Hence, the temperature dropped quite a bit and I am loving this change in the wind. (Time to take those coats and jackets for a walk)

In other news, I am deeply in to shopping mode these days, have been raiding the Forever 21 stores completely. (I love their stuff)..!!

P.S. A Very happy Christmas to you all...!! Cheers!!

Best,
Ritika

Flow away

Before my own previous self turns vintage, I plan to share this outfit post with you all!
As you know (if you follow any of my page - GFC, Twitter, Facebook or Instagram) that these pictures were taken when I had those long wavy hair, however, for some good/bad reason, these pictures stayed hidden in my archives. Today I thought it's high time that I share these with you all, or else you won't recognize me in the pictures! (Well, all my blogger friends would agree that we always have few such pictures in our archives, which were clicked however, were not lucky enough to turn in to a post! Agree?)

These were clicked back in New Delhi (before moving to Phoenix), when I was too much in to long skirts. Don't believe me? Check this post.
Though I still love them, but don't wear them so often. Plus, this particular lovely peacock-print skirt is not with me here in Phoenix. (**sad face**)
I absolutely fell in love with the color and print of this skirt when I first saw it. And any guess where did I score it from? **No scroll downs, no cheating**!!
Ah! I knew you would not be able to guess that!
It's from our very own 'Janpath'! Yayy!! (Those who don't know, Janpath market is located in New Delhi, and is famous for its handicrafts, garments, jewelry and street food etc., all at unbelievably low prices!)
Question: Can we say this is animal print? Or bird print? We can, right??

P.S. I love playing in these skirts. They make me feel like a princess! No kidding :)
P.P.S. These pictures are more than 6 months old. I was a little plump then! Isn’t it?

Couldn't resist sharing this last picture that I clicked on my visit to San Diego Zoo. Our outfits look so similar!
Cheers to that!

San Diego Zoo

I wanted to post these pictures two days ago but blogging on weekends is next to impossible for me. As my husband is home and we spend a lot of time outdoors (shopping, movies or spending time with friends), hence writing a post is not feasible! Not that I am complaining, I sure do love having fun, who doesn't?

Well, so back to the post, these pictures are from our visit to San Diego Zoo on Thanksgiving weekend. Ahh! Those fun times when you are on a vacation! After learning a lesson from the previous day, I wore a sweater to comfort chilly evenings and shoes to avoid sore feet due to excessive walking.
However, walking whole day turned out to be one hell of a legs-workout-day! We came back with sore feet and swore not to walk even 20 steps in the next 24 hours! <Side effects of visits to zoo and such kinds..>
Other than that, I seriously feel I want a six months long vacation, twice a year! What say?

Again, this is a picture heavy post! Mind you!!
P.S. >> Last picture is a bonus! My man is looking super-hot, standing with his equivalent, couldn't resist sharing this one!

Cheers
