A Flash of Pink

Two things keep me occupied these days – my new team lead role and my love for running! Since I have moved to this city, I feel I have become more fitness conscious and a running enthusiast. May be cause I always see people (no matter what their age, fitness level or body type is) running outdoors. People here really work hard to stay fit and that motivates me the most! I see them running in the morning.. during the day.. in the evening and even late at night!
I feel I have a moral obligation towards my body. No matter what I do, where I am, I am always thinking about how can I incorporate some more physical activity in to my daily routine.. Am I going crazy? Well, may be not.. cause if this is crazy.. I am happy being crazy!

We clicked these pictures on our weekend outing when we went site seeing (my another favorite activity)! Some were clicked inside the National Air and Space Museum.
The weather was good and you know how much I love wearing skirts. This girl grabs a chance whenever she can!

This & That - 4

Long time since I did a ‘This & That’ post. In case, you are wondering where am I lost these days, here are the deets –
  1. If you are following my posts and Facebook/Instagram account, you would know that I recently moved to Washington D.C. with my husband.
  2. As soon as we got an internet connection setup at home, I hopped on the blog to update!
  3. The weather is beyond my imagination here! Last week was OK, but it snowed yesterday and today it’s freeeeezinggg!! Don’t know how am I going to survive this!! (Next project: To buy the warmest coats and jackets possible).
  4. The city is quite nice, lots of cars and people to be seen. Everyone is always on-the-go! (I feel this way since Phoenix was a calmer city)..
  5. I miss Phoenix winters terribly (I love’em).
  6. We are still in the process of settling down (you know the kinds.. unpacking, home set-up and interior decoration etc.)
  7. Our new apartment is great, the view from my bedroom window is spectacular (will share few pictures once we get settled)..
  8. Ahh.. and here I am posting a few pictures which were clicked in Phoenix, just a day before we left for D.C. (I am not wearing any outerwear, just imagine the lovely weather over there)..
  9. And practically I am living in these shoes these days! Best booties EVER. Best for work, evening, shopping - you name it!
  10. Also, while I was editing these pictures, I realized that I recently did another jumpsuit post. (Of course both are my favorites)!

Cheers!

In the Sin City

An unplanned visit to Las Vegas was a refresher. It so happened that my husband and I were out for a casual evening walk when I expressed that we should travel somewhere before moving to D.C. since for the next month (after moving) we would be completely occupied with home decoration and set-up etc. Considering our love for 'travel', we thought of utilizing the weekend and voila..!
He liked the idea and we decided to hit the road the very next morning. That's it. The next morning we were on the road before we knew.. Whoever said unplanned traveling is fun was very RIGHT!
And boy we had fun... Though I fell ill (kind-a feverish) for a day, but who cares about that.. I remember only the fun part!
Tomorrow morning we are flying to D.C. Our car and our stuff has already been shipped. If I say 'I am excited about the move' would be an understatement. Let's see what future holds in for us..

Watch out for the next post from the Capital itself..!!

Bye for now..

Tomboy

Never underestimate the power of 'moving (cities)'. And that's coming from someone with personal experience. I have been packing, packing and packing.. which seems to be never ending (so far).. Putting your home in 'boxes' is not an easy thing to do!
Well, that's what I have been doing these days and did I mention living in a suitcase sucks too? Well, it kinda does. So that's that and this is the outfit I wore on a trip to Phoenix Zoo. The thing is, before leaving town, we want to explore all the attractions here, you see.. (which obviously we didn't in the past 16 months)! But, it's never too late!
Soon we will be busy in unpacking stuff and decorating our new home in D.C.

Here are a few pictures from a beautiful sunny day in Phoenix.

P.S. Do I look like a Tomboy here (just curious)!

Cheers!

Dressing Down in Denim Overalls

Surprisingly the weather is changing here beautifully. The cold wind when brushes against my face, leaves me speechless and in awe at nature. Needless to say this is my favorite time of the year. I am crazy about Autumn. The feel of this weather transition is something I enjoy whole heartedly. Even when I lived in India, I loved this time of the year, since this change marks the anticipation of the festive months. And Diwali is my favorite festival; the festival of lights.
Oh how much I used to enjoy decorating my house with oil lamps and lights! And on the night of Diwali, me and my sister used to wander around the streets of Kanpur (my hometown) on our scooty looking at all the decorations of houses. And then we used to pick our favorites!! Ahh.. those days were so much fun! Of course, this was before I got married.

Well, now, after two complete years, we would be celebrating Diwali with a bang! This year we plan to enjoy all the year-end festivals at home in India with our friends and family… And I am really looking forward to it!
This is also the time of the year when I fell in love with the man of my dreams. This Fall our love turns 3! ~ Another reason to love this weather.. Oh, how many memories I have with it!

For today’s outfit post, I am wearing denim overalls (for the first time ever)! And I have to admit, they are damn comfortable. Looking forward to styling them in so many more ways. Did you notice, my hair is long enough to be tied up in a small-cutie pony (frankly it's not even a pony; and do we even have a word for it?).. Of course a lot of hair spray and bobby pins were used! But it feels different, in a good way!

Cheers!

This & That - 2

I am back with another post of This & That while enjoying the long weekend here in U.S. Few random things I am sharing with you all today -
  1. While most of our friends are spending their long weekend travelling, we are spending this weekend at home. Since mid of this week I have travel plans to another country. And did I mention I am traveling alone..
  2. As I mentioned in my FB post, I watched 'Satyagraha' (an Indian movie) today. Well, it was a good watch - but I expected more.
  3. I purchased a beautiful badass leather jacket from Wilsons Leather few weeks ago. Though I am not a big fan of winters, this time I can't wait enough for the weather to chill down..
  4. We are also planning a trip to India next month. It's going to be hell lot of fun!
  5. I love Almond Butter. I can have it all day (but obviously, I don't).
  6. Though cats never leave me, but I am certainly a dog person. I want to have a dog so badly, however, I just can't (well, given the current circumstances)..
  7. And lastly, I wore this dress on a shopping date with husband. Easy-peasy.. Best decision ever!

Cheers!
