Vegas Part III - Double Take

Read Vegas Part I | Vegas Part II

It’s one of those days, when life seems slow, when everything and everyone seems unpleasant. The thing is my mother and sister who graced us with their sheer presence for the past one good month, went back today. It was so hard to leave them at the airport and say good-bye’s.
Not that I did not know that this day was ought to come, it’s just that I did not want it to be this tough. The past few days of this week so crazily busy (last minute shopping, packing etc.) that I had no time so sit and blog.

Well, now since they are back on their way to India, I am collecting myself together and making myself ready to bring my life back to normalcy (since the fancy days are over).
So, this is the third (and the last) part of the Vegas trip. The last day in Vegas was spent equally amazing with friends and family. We spent the first half of the day in Madame Tussauds museum. It was a super-hot, super-sunny weekend, hence we wanted to stay indoors. After visiting the museum, we had our lunch at Origin India (for which I can vouch that it was the best Indian food I have ever had in U.S.)! The hot and fresh food served in their lunch buffet was unmatchable!

Then we were off to the roads (back to Phoenix). On our way, came these breath-taking-ly beautiful mountains and we could not help but stop there for a while and experience one of the most beautiful sunsets ever! We sat there, clicked pictures, climbed up the car, posed for pictures, did stupid things, joked, laughed, made fun of each other - right there – in the mid of that picturesque landscape.

From a short mini-skirt I switched over to my Hilfiger Polo dress. Why? – Because ‘comfort’ is the key while traveling for me!

P.S. Love you mother ~~ Miss you so much ~~ Nothing and no-one can fill your presence here..

Cheers!
Ritika

Vegas Part II - Summertime Spirit

This is the second part of my Vegas diary. Read Part I here. Again, it’s going to be a picture heavy post (because how can I NOT share all these pictures with you guys?) Well, now you are warned.

Remember in the part I, I told you that we went clubbing late night after checking in to our hotel? That night I wore my favorite printed shift dress. I can’t describe in words the feel of the luxe fabric of this dress. I picked this dress few months ago at Macy’s. The print and the quality of this dress is so amazing, that a normal camera (a phone camera – to be precise) can not capture the true essence of it (I forgot to include few pictures we clicked that night in my last post). Again, the quality is not that good, since we did not carry our cameras with us. Phones are a big help in such times of need! Mobile technology rocks!

So we came back to our hotel at 5 in the morning (oh and we were tired like hell from all the driving, travelling, walking, and dancing and enjoying..), but we were so excited, that we did not want to sleep, but you gotta do what you gotta do! This human body needs rest.. Hence we slept for 4-5 hours, woke up at 10 in the morning, all set to rock again!

We then got ready, had our breakfast and went walking on the Strip.. Clicked tons of pictures inside the hotel, at the pool, on the roads, and had tons of, tons of fun!

Now, I leave you with few fun pictures – enjoy!

Cheers!

Vegas Part I - Smile be there

We love road trips. By ‘we’ I mean, me, my husband, and our lovely friends (who happen to be our colleagues too)! Hence, the fun doubles.. since we talk (well, ‘bitch’) about everything and everyone once we all get together! Crazy times!
We left for Las Vegas on Friday. I was happy since my mother and sister were accompanying us too! We reached there at 11 pm, checked in to our hotel - {here, let me brag a little} we stayed in the grand and very beautiful 'Caesars Palace'. (Ok bragging done)!

We quickly changed our comfortable travel clothes in to party outfits. And went clubbing and returned next morning at 5! Few of the pictures are not that good quality (sorry about that), since they were clicked by iPhones. But we enjoyed some finger-licking amazing food and dancing, and partying and shouting and .. well yeah.. much much more..

Since you know I love mixing prints, and by looking at these pictures, I think I am getting better at it! Paired my favorite cotton Hilfiger tunic with my most comfortable shorts. An unexpected but a comfortable and an eye-soothing combination!

Since we were traveling by road, and 6 hours of sitting in a car is not that good for your butts and back! LOL.. So I wanted to emphasize on the ‘comfort’ part. I wore no make-up (only sunscreen and kohl) with minimal jewelry. That's how I like to travel..

Cheers!
