LA Part II: Natural History Museum & Beach

Read LA Part I

The next day we decided to go the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the California Science Center. It was a good experience to learn about so many species which are extinct now.
I wore my favorite flats to be as comfortable as I can for the walking we had to do!

Then post lunch, we went on a stroll – and guess where – Beverly Hills! The whole vibe of that area is so posh. We then came back to the hotel in the evening. Since the sun was still shining – we decided to quickly change in to something comfortable and head to the closest beach!
Santa Monica it was.. (which happened to be one of the most happening beach I have ever been to)! There was a local fair going on the beach. People were laughing, enjoying, dancing, partying, getting tatted, there was this giant wheel, a roller coaster and many other entertaining rides for kids and adults! Fun all around!

The sun kept setting and it started getting cold. We sat there for hours, watching the sea, chatting, making future plans, listening to the relaxing sound of night waves and before we knew it was already half past 10! That's when we realized we did not even have our dinner! We all then rushed to our hotel before we died of hunger! (Don't worry we reached just in time)!! ;)

Cheers!

LA Part I : Universal Studios Hollywood

I can say this with my (somewhat little) experience that the best things in life happen unplanned. Similarly this vacation was not completely planned. We had to leave on Wednesday and we were not sure if we are going or spending the long weekend at home itself.
But then the day, we decided in a rush, booked hotel online before leaving, packed bags quickly and left.

After driving for non-stop for 7 hours, we reached Los Angeles - our destination. It was midnight. The next day was going to be a long and tiring one hence we needed to catch some sound sleep. The next morning we left the hotel to spend the day at Universal Studios Hollywood. Though I have been to the Universal Studios in Orlando earlier, but this one was different. My favorite ride will always be ‘ Revenge of the The Mummy’ – Love it!

We had an amazing time with friends. I say it again – the best things in life are the unplanned ones!

Vegas Part III - Double Take

Read Vegas Part I | Vegas Part II

It’s one of those days, when life seems slow, when everything and everyone seems unpleasant. The thing is my mother and sister who graced us with their sheer presence for the past one good month, went back today. It was so hard to leave them at the airport and say good-bye’s.
Not that I did not know that this day was ought to come, it’s just that I did not want it to be this tough. The past few days of this week so crazily busy (last minute shopping, packing etc.) that I had no time so sit and blog.

Well, now since they are back on their way to India, I am collecting myself together and making myself ready to bring my life back to normalcy (since the fancy days are over).
So, this is the third (and the last) part of the Vegas trip. The last day in Vegas was spent equally amazing with friends and family. We spent the first half of the day in Madame Tussauds museum. It was a super-hot, super-sunny weekend, hence we wanted to stay indoors. After visiting the museum, we had our lunch at Origin India (for which I can vouch that it was the best Indian food I have ever had in U.S.)! The hot and fresh food served in their lunch buffet was unmatchable!

Then we were off to the roads (back to Phoenix). On our way, came these breath-taking-ly beautiful mountains and we could not help but stop there for a while and experience one of the most beautiful sunsets ever! We sat there, clicked pictures, climbed up the car, posed for pictures, did stupid things, joked, laughed, made fun of each other - right there – in the mid of that picturesque landscape.

From a short mini-skirt I switched over to my Hilfiger Polo dress. Why? – Because ‘comfort’ is the key while traveling for me!

P.S. Love you mother ~~ Miss you so much ~~ Nothing and no-one can fill your presence here..

Cheers!
