Postcards from Canada II

Read Part I here | < Disclaimer: Picture Heavy Post >

This weekend was quite relaxing. Since I finally un-packed all my stuff (on that note, I hate unpacking) and spent some quality time with my darling husband.
I still remember how happy he was to see me at the airport! He was holding a beautiful bouquet of red roses, and had this big grin on his face. His eyes were shining with happiness. Loved it all!
Sometimes I think what did I do to get so lucky..! Well, that question will always remain unanswered.

Anyhow, you may enjoy looking at few more pictures I clicked during my stay in Canada.
While I was there, I explored this farmer's market while city surfing and it was indeed a photographer's paradise.
Oh, and the coffee you see here is a 'Salted Caramel Mocha' - my (super) favorite!
P.S. Excuse my hair in the last pic.. Umm... Let's just say I was not enjoying a very good hair day!
I already miss Canada! I loved Canada :)

Cheers!

Postcards from Canada I

< Disclaimer: Picture Heavy Post >

I just came back from a beautiful place I'd never been to before! There are mixed feelings here. Feeling happy to come back into the arms of my one and only, and sad for leaving a very beautiful place - where the wind blows all the time, where people smile at each other when their eyes meet, where I felt completely disconnected from all my worries, where each cell of my body felt romantic, where the time froze for me!

Days just flew and I lived every moment of it. Though I missed ‘him’ a lot, but I also enjoyed all this time being alone, since it was the first time in the last two and a half years when I had six whole days with the company of my own self.
I went to Ottawa for some work and had to stay there for a week. Words are less for me to describe my experience (and that you may know by now).
I kept myself away from most of the blogging community enjoying every bit of the wonderful time I got to spend there. And before I knew, I was already in love with this country and it’s wonderful people – charming, smiling and warm people.

Out of everything, the most I enjoyed was the Thai cuisine – (I got to eat some of the most amazing noodles there); and the Starbucks coffee – (man, they make all sorts of delicious coffees there, you name it and they will surprise you each time, every time)! And lastly the autumn weather – accidentally I went there just at the right time! Yeah, lucky me..!!

And here are few pictures from the trip -

Twirling through Town

After traveling to so many places, I feel this is one of the best places I have ever been to.. Let's just say this city is a unique mix of people from around the world.. The architecture, the buildings is a beautiful mix of Parisian and American culture.
Living in a hotel located right in the heart of the downtown is a good experience in itself. I walk along the sidewalks, simply breathing and taking in all the beauty of this city I could. 7 days seem too less now to absorb all the wonderfulness this city has to offer me..

Evenings just fly while I watch people, beautiful people, amazingly dressed, walking along the sidewalks of the busy roads.
The people here are so compassionate, so warm and so welcoming is the least I could say.. Though I did not come here on a vacation, but I definitely would not mind spending a few more days here.
The weather plays wonderfully too. It's cold, cold enough to wear a nice leather jacket! It's overwhelming to feel the chilly breeze brush through my cheeks, making my nose and cheeks all blush! I hug myself tightly at that time, enjoying every bit of it, after all, this is all I have been wishing for a long time living in a desert. And the mornings are cold enough to not want to get out of the bed!
I feel I am God’s favorite child. Just saying that 'I feel I am lucky' is not enough. I feel He has bestowed me with all the best things in this short life of mine, for which I shall be forever grateful..

The only part where I feel sad is when I miss GM, my loving partner in all things good and bad. His mere presence could have doubled the joy I feel while walking down the streets, looking at the magnificent and beautifully crafted houses people live in, the parks where people take their pets for an evening walk and the malls where they indulge themselves in..
I wish to come here again someday when the time is right, when the weather is the same, and when I have him by my side...
I believe the charm of this city will always remain burning in my heart. Oh, if I did not mention before, I am in Ottawa, Canada. Hope you remember when I mentioned about this trip before.

And if you are wondering, these pictures were clicked in Phoenix. Obviously I wouldn't dare to wear a cotton jumpsuit in this super cold weather here.. Though these pictures were taken only 4 days ago!

Cheers!

This & That - 2

I am back with another post of This & That while enjoying the long weekend here in U.S. Few random things I am sharing with you all today -
  1. While most of our friends are spending their long weekend travelling, we are spending this weekend at home. Since mid of this week I have travel plans to another country. And did I mention I am traveling alone..
  2. As I mentioned in my FB post, I watched 'Satyagraha' (an Indian movie) today. Well, it was a good watch - but I expected more.
  3. I purchased a beautiful badass leather jacket from Wilsons Leather few weeks ago. Though I am not a big fan of winters, this time I can't wait enough for the weather to chill down..
  4. We are also planning a trip to India next month. It's going to be hell lot of fun!
  5. I love Almond Butter. I can have it all day (but obviously, I don't).
  6. Though cats never leave me, but I am certainly a dog person. I want to have a dog so badly, however, I just can't (well, given the current circumstances)..
  7. And lastly, I wore this dress on a shopping date with husband. Easy-peasy.. Best decision ever!

Cheers!
